Ever since the PlayStation Showcase of 2023, there were speculations about a slimmer version of PlayStation 5.

Despite the lack of an official update, the rumors around an imminent PlayStation 5 slim launch have reached an all-time high. A glimpse of the potential hardware for the device from a credible source has further added to the buzz.

Now, in the latest piece of news, a credible leaker shared a picture claiming it to be the first-ever picture of the upcoming PS5 Slim. 

Sony followed up each PlayStation console it introduced throughout the years with a smaller-sized version of the device. Both the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 4 are compatible with it. However, a smaller-sized edition is more of a practical consideration when it comes to the PlayStation 5. Andrew Marmo, a user, shared a picture of the hardware, claiming it to be the first-ever public glimpse of the product. 

The user has previously worked for the popular eSports media house VGC. Therefore, gaming fans are convinced of the credibility of the leaked picture. According to the source, the leak first appeared on a Chinese social media network.

The tweet has all the gaming fans intrigued. The initial glimpse, while not too revealing, still has assured PlayStation fans that the console will be worth the wait. Although, it is important to note that there is no official confirmation on the image and currently the tweet is just a claim. But with the original source and credibility of the Twitter user, it doesn’t seem too far away from being true. Adding to the hype, another well-known leaker, The Snitch, shared the picture, almost confirming the leak.

Hopefully, we’ll be hearing from the console giant soon about an official launch. If the rumors are to be trusted, it may happen anytime soon.
