Microsoft is hard at work trying to acquire Activision Blizzard. It’s being said that their main aim in claiming that publisher is to get their hands on the lucrative Call of Duty franchise.

Even though they have assured everyone about having no intentions to make COD exclusive to their Xbox consoles. Sony is understandably worried. And they responded by buying a studio that consists of industry veterans who worked on numerous big-budget first-person shooters.

It is being said that this studio has already started working on a multiplayer experience for the PlayStation platform. This is the third multiplayer-focused game that Sony is said to be working on. Before this, Sony partnered with Destiny 2 developer Bungie in order to create a live service experience for PlayStation users. And everyone knows about Naughty Dog working on that multiplayer-only The Last of Us title, which is reportedly titled Factions.
