The God of War series is created by David Jaffe at Sony’s Santa Monica Studio. Its first game launched back in 2005 on March 22, for the PlayStation 2 console. So far, it has witnessed ten entries in the entire franchise.
17 years ago, God of War released on the PlayStation 2 and began Kratos’ journey through ancient Greece.

The eleventh game in God of War: Ragnarok is currently in development and is likely to release later this year.
God of War saga saw its massive return with the 2018 game featuring Kratos and his son Atreus. That entry was released five years after the 2013 installment, so it was a big moment for the series lovers. And the game turned into a spectacular experience for a lot of players worldwide.
In fact, 2018’s offering was so great that it eventually received a PC port earlier this year in January. Not to mention that the game succeeded on the PC platform as well.
Well, now that the franchise has completed 17 years of its existence, its fans also came up with their own gestures of saying thanks to the makers. Many of them showered praise on how God of War changed their lives.
“A goat series”, wrote one passionate player.
