For a while, Bungie’s Halo has been the face of the Xbox consoles like Series X/S. But now Bungie belongs to the rival company PlayStation. Naturally, fans have started to speculate whether Xbox will be replacing Master Chief with Starfield as their mascot.

Will Starfield replace Halo as the flagship franchise of Xbox?

Xbox Fans have started to wonder if will Microsoft replace Halo with Starfield as its flagship franchise. This question gained traction when images of Xbox consoles in China emerged on a Reddit post. The console shown in that image had a Starfield image in place of the regular mascot of Xbox, Halo’s Master Chief. This move from Microsoft has surprised many fans.

However, this move might be the right tactical decision. Looking at the hype around Starfield, Xbox would be looking to push a title developed by its studio. And looking at the last entry in the Halo series that came in November 2021, fans would also be looking at a more recent game. Furthermore, there are almost no potential signs that Bungie will be making a new entry in the Halo series.

However, some fans believe Starfield is ready to replace Master Chief. They are calling Starfield the best culmination of all Bethesda titles. How much weightage that statement holds can only be uncovered after the game’s release.
