In case anyone missed it, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge launched last month in mid-June. And nearly a month after its debut, the Dotemu and Tribute Games project has succeeded to surpass a record sales milestone.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge goes past 1 million sold units worldwide
Coming as a beat-them-up kind of game, Shredder’s Revenge is developed by Tribute Games and published by Dotemu. It’s based on the classic TMNT franchise and inspired by the animated series ‘Turtles’ from 1987. Additionally, it borrows the stylistic elements from the various arcade and home console titles made by Konami during the period of the 1980s and 1990s.

Original voice actors, who were there in the old animated series, reprised their roles in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. Speaking of the gameplay, it involves a side-scrolling, Pixelated art style.
Players have the option to choose between the following characters: Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, April O’Neil, and Master Splinter. Casey Jones is also there on the roster, as an unlockable character.
Now it’s been just one month since Shredder’s Revenge came out for multiple consoles in June. But it has managed to click with the gamers, especially those who are fans of retro titles in the iconic franchise.
Thanks to the nostalgic factor, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has now sold over 1 million units across the globe. Publisher Dotemu shared this news on social media while thanking all the fans who bought it.

Meanwhile, fans also wasted no time in responding back. Well, it seems to be obvious that most of them were ecstatic to know that their beloved game has achieved such an incredible milestone. TNMT lovers praised the latest entry while also thanking the developing team members who made it.
One enthusiastic user of the title wrote: “One of my favorite games of the century. It deserves all the roses and can’t wait to hold a physical copy (or two since I bought two lol) in my hands. Pizza time.”
