The 2-time streamer of the year and veteran streamer, Dr Disrespect, is diving deep into the world of the video game industry. This, however, isn’t his first major venture into the gaming world as he has already worked at Sledgehammer Games as a designer for Call of Duty. He eventually became a streamer, and the rest, as we know it, is history.

With major accolades in his trophy case and a massive bank balance, the streamer is now hoping to build his own video games via his studio Midnight Society.

Dr Disrespect is unhappy with the media linking his game with NFT

Micro-transactions, and now NFTs, have become the new norm of video gaming, which didn’t exist in the past decade. These means to earn more revenue from a title have never been received well by the community and Doc knows it all too well.

Being one of the biggest streamers and gamers, he understands that fans want to get their hands on a good game that won’t make them spend more money on it than the initial cost of buying. He took to Twitter to address the rumors of NFTs and more being added to his game that is yet to be announced.

Doc also teased the community with a cryptic gif that read ‘Stand By’. It looks like the 39-year-old is cooking up something big with his team and the community will see get a sneak peek of his upcoming project very, very soon.

Twitter users offered a mixed reaction to this rumor, and it looks like NFT is still a controversial topic in gaming. One fan reiterated that he simply wants to play a good game that isn’t clouded by microtransactions and NFTs.
