Fans Pour Their Hearts Out as Pokemon Celebrates the Adorable Litwick’s Day

The pokemon franchise is a worldwide phenomenon, and it would be a hard job to find someone who has never heard about it. The franchise is considered to be one of the most profitable and successful franchises in the world. Characters and the adaptations of the franchise are adored by fans everywhere and of every age. So it wasn’t surprising that fans went crazy when an entire day got named after a pocket monster.  

Fans gave their hearts to the adorably creepy Pokemon from the 5th generation as it gets a day named after itself. The Pokemon Twitter Community gets overwhelmed with happiness as their favorite little ghost creature is getting the love and attention it deserves. 

What is Litwick’s Day? 

October 16 has been officially named Litwick’s day by the Pokemon company. They announced this on their official Twitter. The tweet simply said, “It’s Litwick’s day”. The tweet made by Pokémon is part of their Halloween celebration campaign. Previously they featured fanart of Ghost Pokemons and other promotional materials to celebrate Halloween month.

Litwick is a generation 5 pokemon. Its typings are Ghost/Fire, which is very appropriate as it is a creature designed after a candle. Its evolved form is Lampent, which is its second form and Chandelure is its final form. Litwick made its debut in the Pokemon Black and White games. 

Litwick also made appearances in many adaptations other than video games. In the anime, Four Litwicks debuted in ‘Scare at the Litwick Mansion!’, where they, along with a Lampent, tried to take Ash, his friends, and Team Rocket to the Ghost World.

Litwick fans enjoy some events and benefits in Pokemon Go. Like high encounter rates, high shiny drops, and many other perks. The small ghost candles get to burn the brightest today!
