MLB The Show 22 posted a tweet in which it tried to tease the announcement for two former teammates in the baseball league. The developing team left it to the fans to try out their guessing skills before they official revealed the players on Wednesday.

Fans offer wild predictions over the two former teammates arriving in MLB The Show 22

For those uninitiated, MLB The Show is the seventeenth entry in the gaming saga based on the Major Baseball League. While San Diego Studio is its developer, Sony Interactive Entertainment is acting as the publisher for the project.

Just a few weeks ago, the title had received its cover player in Los Angeles Angels’ Shohei Ohtani. Furthermore, a manga-style art of the star player Ohtani, by Takashi Okazaki, will be featured on the collector’s edition of MLB The Show 22.

Just recently, the team behind the upcoming installment came up with an interesting tweet on the official account of the game. The page dropped an image of two figures, while keeping their identities a mystery to be solved by the fans.

MLB The Show 22 teased two players who will make their appearance in the anticipated sports title. The hint the makers gave to the fans is that both of them are former teammates while being popular in the baseball league.

Who did the fans think the players would be?

Soon after the tweet went live, all the MLB fans began to answer this question by coming up with their most accurate predictions. Some of them revealed their theories about the now retired iconic player, Manny Ramirez. He was associated with teams like Cleveland Indians and Los Angeles Dodgers.

Another sportsperson who got most of the guesses was Jayson Werth. He represented teams like Toronto Blues Jays, Philadelphia Phillies, and also Los Angeles Dodgers.

MLB The Show 22 releases on April 5, 2022 for various platforms like PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S. It will also make a debut on the Nintendo Switch console, which will be a first for the franchise.
