It seems like the ongoing phase is pretty unfavorable for the COD franchise. Nothing seems to be going right for the long-running series whatsoever. As if the backlash from the players regarding the ongoing installment Call of Duty Modern Warfare II wasn’t enough already, an unexpected situation has now revealed more troubles for people at Activision.
However, this time, a different game in Fortnite has managed to impress Call of Duty players with its mesmerizing, new gameplay feature. So much so, that even the loyal fans of Activision’s series are now taking a jab at it for failing to deliver the changes they have been asking for a long time.

In case anyone missed keeping track of events, Epic Games recently unveiled the much-awaited Creative 2.0 for its ever-growing battle royale Fortnite. For those who don’t know about its features, it is basically a magic wand for those who are passionate about creativity. To be precise, it enables the users to customize existing maps and modes in the game while also making new ones in an unimaginably fascinating way, to say the least.
In fact, many genius creators have already begun harnessing the power of Fortnite Creative 2.0 in such a way that they are now using it to replicate other video games too. Well, this trend is only getting started!
Recently, someone came up with a unique mode in Fortnite Creative 2.0, while taking heavy inspiration from Call of Duty. In other words, they recreated a famous Multiplayer mode from Activision’s series in Epic Games’ battle royale.
One can say this creation appears to be quite similar to Domination – a fan-favorite mode seen in COD entries. Furthermore, it can be seen playing out on a map that is, again, a recreation of Rust, a beloved map from the action franchise.

It seems like this amazing work has added more problems for Call of Duty devs. That’s because, on one hand, there is Fortnite, which is giving players more freedom to create mindboggling modes and maps depending on their wishes. However, when it comes to COD, things have been troublesome in recent years. The latest game in MWII has faced harsh criticism from fans for lacking ample maps and engaging modes, despite being a premium and expensive AAA title.
This is something most of the fans mentioned in their reactions as well while praising Epic and Fortnite Creative 2.0. Technically, they mocked Call of Duty for failing to deliver what players have wished for in recent months. “That awkward moment when someone makes your game better than you,” wrote one user.
