Upcoming new installment WWE 2K22 just unveiled its official game cover for the next major entry in the series. And posing on it is none other than the legend Rey Mysterio himself. WWE paid him a tribute with this as he just completed 20 years as the Superstar.
Rey Mysterio needs no introduction when it comes to the WWE arena. He has now become synonymous with the Mexican culture of lucha libre. The latter features high octane action, aerial stunts, and masked competitors. Mysterio has made it so iconic now that no one else deserved it more than him to be on the cover of WWE 2K22.

Fans have shocking reaction to Rey Mysterio being on the cover of WWE 2K22
As it’s already known, the celebrated legend has held multiple titles under his belt in the last two decades. Rey Mysterio has his own, unique style of tackling the opponents in the ring and his fans love that. With his amazing performance throughout the years, he has proved that being an “Ultimate Underdog” hits different.
Carrying forward his aura further, WWE 2K22 honored Rey Mysterio by putting him on the cover.
Apart from Mysterio being the featured star, the game also revealed its exciting features players can try when the title releases in March. WWE 2K22 will have a better realistic feel compared to the past installments in the franchise.
The game will consist of impressive graphics along with varied camera angles to have an immersive experience. Playing as your favorite WWE superstar will definitely hit differently.
However, that might not be the case with everyone as not all the fans agree on one page. Which is quite obvious to witness. But when it comes to the newly unleased WWE 2K22 cover, Mysterio is not the choice of the lovers of the franchise.
The majority of the fans loved the cover of the upcoming game and that was expected, without any doubt. Some of them, though, wanted someone like Roman Reigns to be featured there.
Nevertheless, have a look at the most insane reactions yourself:
He DESERVES IT🔥🔥🔥

Now some unfavorable ones.
Doesn’t deserve it, someone like Roman reigns should be on the cover. Ray is just a jobber

Relying on 50 year old superstars who were on your games in 2002 is everything that is wrong with the WWE today. I'm 39. I literally have grown up seeing Rey. I love him. But kids who play these games have no idea of who Rey is at this point.

Another bad game with poor gameplay I suppose because there hasn't been a good one since "here comes the pain"

“Stunning new graphics” 😂😂😂 the day of reckoning games looked more realistic than this
