The last few days have been quite interesting for fans and players of Call of Duty Modern Warfare II. Not because it has managed to woo the players but because they were expecting the news on its next major update in Season 4. Well, that time has come eventually!
Ending the wait of many fans, the developers have finally unveiled the first official look of the game’s next seasonal update. Not to mention that the players have already become hyped for Season 4’s debut later this month. That’s a good sign for the latest installment from Activision as it has hardly kept the community excited in the recent months. It seems like the new update will probably end up changing the situation for this game in a positive way.

Numerous leaks and rumors were floating around online regarding the awaited update for the latest entry. Some insiders had speculated that Activision would reveal the new season during the Summer Game Fest this week with a trailer. However, the makers have now finally given the community something instead of nothing. While a trailer is yet to be released, Season 4’s art has now made its way to the internet.
The official twitter account of Call of Duty unveiled two images from Modern Warfare II & Warzone 2’s Season 4. Along with them, the tweet mentioned that “Nikto is coming and he’s bringing company”.

For those who don’t know, Nikto is a returning Operator from 2019’s Modern Warfare title. And it looks like his comeback is also one reason why some gamers are excited about the update. The latest images also confirm another leak regarding a brand new original female Operator who will make her Call of Duty debut. Per the rumors, she’s going to be named Heather.

Apart from the Operators, the tweet also indirectly confirms a new Resurgence map, called Vondel, set in the Netherlands. Meanwhile, gaming enthusiasts didn’t waste any time in sharing their reactions on the Season 4 reveal. Some wrote that they are hoping for the next update to be promising this time.
