It looks like Fortnite and Call of Duty have got a lot in common this year. Firstly, the makers of the battle royale introduced a spectacular creative tool that allowed players to replicate iconic modes and maps from Activision’s franchise. And now, Epic Games’ team has decided to take things even further by revealing a brand new mode. Interestingly, it was recently added to the ongoing Warzone 2 title as well.

Well, this mode is none other than Ranked Play, and it’s now coming to Fortnite. The devs had recently teased this experience ahead of an official reveal a day after. Meanwhile, hardcore competitive players are already looking forward to this brand-new gameplay mode in their favorite battle royale.

Epic’s team recently dropped a very short clip on their official Twitter account. The video was teasing the arrival of Ranked Play for the popular online game. Although it didn’t exactly mention the proper name, fans didn’t take it long to understand the meaning.

Ranked Play has been a major attraction in games like Call of Duty. Players enjoy it a lot as it gives them a feeling of actual competitiveness to reach higher ranks and prove themselves better than others. Now Fortnite lovers will be able to do it as well when update v24.40 makes its way in Chapter 4 Season 3 for Battle Royale mode and Zero Build. Speaking of the ranks themselves, they will spawn across Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Elite, Champion, and Unreal.

While the competitive mode is yet to make its debut, fans are already charged up. On Twitter, most of the Fortnite players expressed their enthusiasm for the upcoming experience. This is something they have been waiting for a long time. “This will be epic,” wrote one excited user.
