Sony might have accidentally teased a fresh Uncharted IP during the PlayStation 5 video, and you are not ready for it.
For quite some time, Sony has been releasing multiple blog posts to talk about their games. In every one of them, the franchise has aimed to deliver sufficient knowledge about the current and upcoming titles. However, in their recent one, it felt like they changed their style as some eagle-eyed fans caught an undiscovered IP. Apparently, Sony featured a small bit of it, leading to the possibility of its development soon. Moreover, it acted as a positive catalyst for the game’s rumors as its devs announced their exit last week.
Sadly, Naughty Dog’s President Neil Druckmann claimed that the franchise had grown out of the Uncharted IP, leading to its cancellation. But now, with a fresh video feature from PlayStation, rumors might start to cook.

Sony teases possible Uncharted title amidst PlayStation 5 video
On Jan 30, 2023, PlayStation published their regular blog post featuring video games. In that, they stressed upcoming games, features, and a lot more. Plus, they attached a video that showcased snippets of various games in a ‘reality’ style.
However, there was a certain bit that caught every fan’s attention as it showed a possible glimpse of Uncharted 5. Apparently, viewers could see Cassie walking through a cave with a flame in her hand. At first, it felt unrealistic, but when the dots connected, it was far clear that it was an undiscovered IP.
Well, there are even some reasons to justify that, with the first one being the ending of Uncharted 4. There, the story ‘ended with Nathan Drake and Elena Fisher’s teenage daughter Cassie discovering relics from their past adventures and Drake deciding to tell her about them.’ And apart from that, PlayStation’s blog post gave out a few hints.

Sony said, “This new spot hints at the breadth of extraordinary experiences taking place in the PS5 universe through the style of a live news channel. See if you can spot all the game references.” Lastly, the Japanese video-game-making company featured a similar style while releasing Resident Evil 4. Nine months before the game launched, the franchise teased it in one of the videos, enthralling fans.
