Battlefield 2042 set to launch rejected skins
EA DICE has made mistakes in various areas throughout the game. But this might be one of the biggest missteps they make or at least what the Battlefield 2042 Twitter space mostly believes.
The skins were revealed on Twitter earlier today. Now, well-renowned industry insider, Tom Henderson, has shared some shocking information while replying to the original tweet and confirmed the addition. He revealed that the idea was initially shot down in a feedback session in March this year. It must also be noted that these guns will be free in-game, which could be due to the negative feedback.
Fun fact – These skins where in the March 2021 QA feedback sessions, in which everyone voted them down.
Good to know that those sessions were pointless 🤣

Fans react to DICE’s brave decision
Tom’s revelation has now left most of the franchise fans fuming. Especially because of the complete out-of-the-box addition. Unlike other famous Battlefield titles.
One of the fans decided to share his views on the new collection with a hilarious Christmas joke. Surprisingly, the famous YouTube Creator, Westie, had a similar idea.
I’ll expect my royalties for this tweet in the mail, Cameron. pic.twitter.com/I4kR1ODxpr

Some of the fans shared their frustration with the new skins. And a few even compared the game to other FPS titles such as Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone. Clearly a consideration point for the devs.
That is a fuc*ing joke omg, so there was a vote about those skins, it was majoritary negative and they still keep it in the game
What a joke

While some players were clearly not big fans of the decision and the new collection, there were a few who actually like the skins and the ideology behind them.
It's December and it's Santa coat so fits pretty well to upcoming Christmas mood, and it's also FREE to grab by doing missions.
Meanwhile COD has anime rainbow dildos ;<— Fajny Andrzej (@pvtmartinpl) December 2, 2021
The Father Winter set is actually mad sick in my opinion. I feel sad for the character artist behind it, with how the community is currently reacting to it.

Some players even took to memes to look at things from a positive perspective.

Battlefield franchise’s loyal fans even noticed some similarities in the developers’ decisions. They pointed out how other titles had featured some rejected skins as well.
Everyone voted them down and that's why we get them for free. The ones people liked will show up at some point in the in-game shop to purchase with real money. Just like they did with BFV.
