Fan Opinion: MrBeast Supporters Hoping for the Return of Ex-Member Jake the Viking After 3 Years

The MrBeast brand may have been created by Jimmy Donaldson, but it was boosted to its current heights thanks to all the highly talented and hilarious members who joined Jimmy in his videos. In his career, Jimmy’s team has seen many changes, among which one of the most noticeable was the departure of Jake the Viking.

Jake is an American YouTuber who primarily posts challenge and vlogging videos. Viking gained popularity through his collaborations with Jimmy Donaldson on the MrBeast YouTube channel, and the two were once very close friends.

On April 6, 2020, Jake announced that he parted ways with Jimmy and his fellow crewmates. He clarified that the reason for his departure was the lack of free time and emphasized that there were no hard feelings between them. After leaving MrBeast, he joined the eSports organization Misfits Gaming on June 23, 2021.

Fans want Jake the Viking to return to MrBeast. Three days ago, MrBeast’s fan community on Reddit posted a poll asking, “Would you like it if Jake The Viking returned?” and the results were not very surprising. More than 2.6k people voted in the poll, among which only 426 people said no, with the rest saying yes, making it clear that fans are all in for Jake’s return.

“He was my favorite member, but it’s his life so if he doesn’t want to be a part anymore, I’d never want to pressure him,” said one of the users on Reddit. While the thought of Jake returning to the team may seem enticing for long-time fans, Jake’s return will have a lot of complications, especially since the current dynamic of the crew will be severely affected by this change.

“I don’t think it would be a seamless transition; the channel has changed far too much from when he was on it, and the crew dynamic and involvement are different. Overall, no. I liked it when he was on, but that was practically in another life, speaking from a content creation perspective,” said another user.
