“Falsified A Romantic Relationship With Me”: Pokimane Exposes A Streaming Industry Professional Who ‘Targeted and Manipulated’ Women From Her Community

Pokimane, in a recent stream, shared that one of the ‘privileged’ individuals from the industry, with whom she had a strictly ‘professional’ relationship, used her reputation and image to manipulate young impressionable women from her community. 

Imane has been a prominent name in the online content creation and streaming industry for years. At one point of time in her career, she had acquired the crown of the biggest female streamer in the world. She caters to one of the biggest fan bases for any streamer in the world, mostly consisting of youngsters. 

Pokimane breaks down after sharing the news

Witnessing the fact that there is someone who is using the trust that her fans have in her to gain wicked favors left her heartbroken. Her voice trembled as she informed her community about the “disgusting” incident that transpired. When the weight of the situation finally caught on to her, Poki couldn’t help herself anymore.

“Just anger that someone would use my name, my reputation, my trust, the trust that these girls had in me. To then manipulate them for his own benefit. It’s just so f*cking disgusting,” Pokimane broke down on her stream saying this. Although she refrained from stating any names, from her statements, it was apparent that this individual worked in a very prominent company and had a lot of influence industry. 

“Someone that I and many streamers have been working with for years. Someone who was also employed at a large company in the industry has targeted and manipulated girls, specifically in my community, by falsifying a romantic and s*xual relationship with me, leaking privileged information that he gathered from his job, as well as threatening to harm himself if these girls turned against him,” Pokimane explained on how this person used her to lay down his traps.

The alleged ‘manipulator’ used fake photoshopped images of him and Poki’s ‘chats’ to ensure the girls that he is in an intimate relationship with the streamer and that their relationship has made him ‘suicidal’. This was one of his tactics to gain sympathy from the girls and eventually acquire their trust. 

According to Pokimane, to solidify his fake relationship with Imane, “He created fake screenshots as evidence, Discord logs.” Seeing a man in such distress, her impressionable “sweet” female fanbase walks into this trap and ends up getting vulnerable to this person.
