Apex Legends pros have slammed the devs over the new ranked system for Season 17, and fans are having a good laugh about it.

Every video game has its flaws. But when they outnumber the good parts, it becomes a problem for both gamers and developers. After all, it is a two-way relationship where the devs need to keep their community happy in order for them to voice out opinions, ideas, and thoughts for further updates. So, when the devs fail constantly, it stands as a major problem for the title.

Such has been the case for Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends, which recently walked into its 17th chapter. Despite adding new features, fans remained disappointed over the ranked system as it had destroyed the competitive scene. So, the pros voiced their opinions, calling out the devs to take action.

Why did Apex Legends pros lash out at the developers’ post-season 17 release?

Season 17 introduced major changes to guns, cosmetics, maps, and more. Apart from that, it re-introduced a gun from the vault (L-Star) followed by a new character. With the name Ballistic, the run-and-gun legend looks best for support players. So, if you’re someone who plays Lifeline, Wattson, or so, this can be a great choice.

While these changes stand as good ones, the pros have found a major drawback in the ranked system. Inhumed, Nickmercs, FURIA HisWattson, and more have pointed out the fact that players can win games despite being AFK. In other words, they will not have to move even a single inch, deal no damage, and just survive as the last squad.

This stands as one of the major concerns for content creators, streamers, or even devoted Apex Legends players who clock in hours to reach the top. After all, anyone would be annoyed to see the last player standing with one kill and 200 damage. So, the pros and concerned fans uploaded dedicated tweets, talking about the same. Here’s what they had to say.

The new revelation of AFK winning takes us back in time to when Fortnite creators used it in-game. It was one of the biggest trends where big-time streamers used the ‘chair’ emote to sit in one corner of the map, away from the battle. And still, they would win the game by either killing the last team or them dying in the storm.
