Fans are not happy as they want a longer duration to spend in God of War: Ragnarok

Tom Henderson, who’s an industry insider and one of the most trusted scoopers, recently came up with an article while revealing the duration of the PS5 exclusive. As reported by him via Insider Gaming, God of War: Ragnarok will have a playtime of about 40 hours.

Per Henderson, out of the 40 hours rumored for the experience, 20 hours will be allocated to finish the main story. Furthermore, around “3 and a half hours of the 20 hours played will be cinematic scenes, with the remaining 16 and a half hours for gameplay.”

The remaining 20 hours will require the players to complete the side quests. For this, about 19 hours will be dedicated to the actual gameplay while the remaining one hour will be consumed by the cut scenes.

As soon as this rumored news spread across social media, majority of die-hard God of War fans took to Twitter to share their reactions. It looks like many of them are not satisfied with the given playtime. The reason given by some of them is that they were expecting Ragnarok to be an epic offering, with a longer duration. But it appears to be of the same length as its predecessor.

One frustrated user wrote: “EXTREMELY disappointed the game is the same fucking length as the first😑. Twenty hours go by fast. Forty hours should be the length of the story.”
