Genshin Impact version 3.4 has been giving the players what they want; new characters, weapons, a new boss fight, The Lantern Rite event, and much more. The current version update is undoubtedly attracting travelers to play the game, but some might have found a puzzling development. A Sumeru monster has a mysterious sighting in Inazuma.

While the current version unravels itself, rumors of the character banners of version 3.5 have already surfaced on the internet. Though Dehya and Mika’s entry was confirmed by HoYoverse, the other banners seem to be three re-runs.

The authorities are yet to announce more about version 3.5. In the meantime, let’s explore the mysterious sighting of the Sumeru monster, Consecrated Scorpion, in Inazuma.

Genshin Impact version 3.4 brings the Sumeru monster to Inazuma

YouTube content creator CatWithBlueHat has done an amazing feat in unraveling the mysterious sighting of the monster. The YouTuber takes us to the Serpent’s Head, an area of Yashiori island where the Consecrated Scorpion can be found. This monster usually resided in the Sumeru desert.

The mystery unravels with the presence of the Serpent’s Head. The structure belongs to the now-dead god named Orobashi (Watatsumi Omikami) who was killed by Raiden Ei over 2000 years ago, near the end of the Archon War. Moreover, the violent war led Orobashi’s remains to rest on the island.

Thereby, these remains form the Crystal Marrow found on Yashiori island. Consecrated Scorpions form by consuming flesh infused with the remains of dead gods. Therefore, the consumption of flesh infused with Crystal Marrow turns the normal scorpions into the mutated form, Consecrated Scorpions.

Furthermore, the undigested pieces of the immortal flesh get slowly infused into their bodies like the bony shell of the monster. This shell’s composition then matches that of Crystal Marrow, hinting at a correlation between the two. Therefore, the lore and presence of Crystal Marrow and the nature of normal scorpions directly justify their presence in Inazuma.

Consecrated Scorpions’ presence in the Sumeru desert comes from the hinted lore about a god’s death, Nabu Malikata (Goddess of Flowers) in other parts of Sumeru leads to the scorpions getting the remains. Another theory suggests this place to be the one where King Deshret sacrificed himself. For visual aid, one can see CatWithBlueHat’s video below:

Hence, these theories try to justify the mysterious sightings. Do you have any theories related to it? Do share with us in the comments below.
