With Valentine’s Day only a week and a half away, Fortnite players have an event to look forward to. Looking at last year’s ‘Share the Love’ event, we know what to expect from Epic. First, last year’s event ran for 3 weeks from February 8 until February 27. We can expect an event with a similar duration this year as well. Second, we can expect challenges that unlock themed gliders, emotes, and other customizations much like the Winterfest 2019 event. Last, we can expect a new competitive mode similar to the ‘Share the Love’ Competitive Series.

With the V15.3o update, Epic added a new LTM named Mando’s Bounty in the game. Players must collect the most loot points while outlasting rivals. The player with the most amount of loot must outlast the Mandalorian to obtain the Victory Royale. Additionally, by winning a game of this LTM, players will unlock the Beskar Umbrella.

Epic has also added 3 new exotic weapons. Players can obtain the burst quad launcher from ‘Fishstick’ at Craggy Cliffs and Coral Castle. This launcher can deal up to 82 damage if used to full capacity. Additionally, players can obtain a new healing item called the ‘Chug Cannon’ from ‘Remedy’. Similar to the ‘Bandage Bazooka’ it restores 15 HP (both shield and health) with every use. Lastly, Epic released a leaked exotic called the ‘Frozen’ SMG. Once fired, this gun gives players ice feet so they can slide across the Fortnite map.

Epic revealed that they would disable the ‘Boundless’ skins once again till the release of the v15.40 patch. Players would customize their character to be all white or black and hide from other players. Epic believed that this was a ‘Pay to win’ strategy and has thus disabled the skins.

During the past week, this crossover with Five Nights at Freddie’s has garnered much attention. However, most of the information is speculative. YouTubers like SypherPK revealed the addition of a skin codename ‘French Fries’ into the game has led people to believe that a Foxy or Freddy Fazbear skin will be coming to Fortnite. Other speculated Easter eggs include the red and blue sweets and tokens from agent Jonesy’s backpack, which are common to both games. A crossover like this has huge monetary potential for both franchises. Thus, it would not be a surprise to see Epic go ahead with this.
