This feeling is something everyone goes through, even the popular celebrities that we see on our screens. Amouranth, the queen of Twitch and one of the biggest streamers on the internet, also experienced something similar, and that changed her life.
In an exclusive interview with EssentiallySports, Amouranth shared the story about her first paycheck, and what motivated her during her budding days as a streamer.

Amouranth talks about her first paycheck and how it ignited her journey
The queen of Twitch, who currently generates abundant revenue, had a humble beginning at the start of her career. When asked about her first paycheck and what she did with it, Amo talked about how her journey as a full-fledged streamer began.
“I bought a better laptop, to stream more,” stated Amouranth as she giggled. The first paycheck that she received was put aside as the first capital for her streaming journey. Receiving the first check seems to have given Amo the drive to push for more. And the reason that she invested it right back into molding a career is an indication of that very fact.
But what was her motivation to be a streamer? What driving force persuaded the 29-year-old to take her current path?
The Motivation that changed her life
Many people take inspiration from popular quotes and personalities when they are building their careers in a competitive field. But Amouranth felt motivated by the opportunities that her field has. “Not really a quote so much, but like I knew, this was an opportunity that not many people had,” stated Amo.
The stars aligned for Amo when she started her career. “At the time I was making costumes and playing video games at first, I was like, how many people do that for fun? And I can get paid to do that. It’s pretty awesome,” added Kaitlyn. The first paycheck that she received from doing something she loves became the driving force that pushed her to continue her journey as a streamer.
A person getting the chance to pursue their passion is not a common phenomenon. The difficulties of getting paid for that are even more complicated, but when Amo got a shot at making money through her passion, she knew that was the road for her.
“Kind of just got me going and then it ended up becoming my main career because it surpassed everything that I was doing at the time,” stated Kaitlyn in her exclusive interview.
Now, she has become the face of Twitch, streams amassing millions of subscribers on the platform. Amouranth has broadened her reach to other social platforms as well, increasing her popularity even more.
The streaming icon is now venturing into the world of boxing, and she would make her in-ring debut in July. It seems like Amouranth held onto that motivation that she received through her paycheck and paved her own way to popularity and a robust career.
