Okami was released on PlayStation 2 and GameCube, and it has yet to see the day when it looks aged. Back then, the game was claimed to be a more vibrant Zelda game. It offered players more creative gameplay options and also gave them a story that was more focused when compared to its counterparts.

Okami HD’s timeless nature led Capcom to release it on current-gen systems, including the Nintendo Switch. So why not give it a go?

Tunic

A fox explores an unknown world, equipped with a small sword. It does not even understand the language of this strange world. Eventually, as players progress through this game, they learn the language, gain more knowledge, and become more powerful.

This game, though, is much harder than a typical Zelda title. Its bosses are challenging, and its story is more mysterious and darker. This one is for those who have ever wondered what a Dark Souls edition of Zelda would look like.

Blossom Tales

Blossom Tales is the perfect title for gamers who are looking for a Zelda game that reminds them of classic and old-school titles. The title does justice to that in most ways and is a boon for the retro gamer. Even its gameplay is like those classic 16-bit titles.

The other captivating thing about this game is, its music, and it’s just too good to ignore.

Hyper Light Drifter

Hyper Light Drifter is a magical game. For one, it looks visually appealing and in a non-traditional way. It would be very hard to think of many pixel-art games that look as good as Hyper Light Drifter. Then there’s the gameplay; very responsive with excellent combat.

The combat has several mechanics that keep this game from feeling repetitive. No matter how many gadgets one earns, one never feels overpowered.
