Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson made a fortune and empire on YouTube by hosting crazy challenges and tournaments. So when he collaborated with Fortnite, how could there be no challenge? If MrBeast has arranged a challenge then there would be an exotic prize. This tournament sure did, but the question is who won the prize? So here’s everything you need to know about the winner.
Who won MrBeast’s Fortnite Tournament?
The person who won MrBeast’s Fortnite Tournament was a professional Fortnite player Anas. The winner of the $1 million at Donaldson’s event is an active member of the David Beckham co-owned eSports organization, Guild Esports. The Fortnite pro showcased a spectacular performance at the event, scoring the highest points (142,099) in the event.
Anas claimed he has been especially practising for this tournament for over a week, instead of playing normal mode. Guild Esports released a video on their official YouTube channel, where Anas said, “So crazy! Yeah, I’m so heavy, like, I grinded all week, and then I don’t know. I didn’t even play. I barely played any league this week, actually. I only played MrBeast’s cup! Yes, just grinded and grinded.”
In collaboration with MrBeast, Epic Games came up with many skins themed after the YouTube megastar. Further, they released special maps for the recent MrBeast event. Moreover, players had the opportunity to practice in those maps for the main event. Anas used this time well to gear up which helped him win the $1 million at Donaldson’s event.
How did Twitter react to Anas’s victory?
From MrBeast to many famous streamers and Fortnite players congratulated Anas for winning the grand prize at the Fortnite event. Fans shared similar reactions and were happy for the Guild eSports player to be able to achieve this. However, there was also a group of players who were unhappy that an already established and rich Fortnite player won the cash prize.
CONGRATULATIONS!🎉
