Not everything from the past games ever gets the chance to make it through. Certain features, NPCs, buildings, and more have been left out, as new iterations like Animal Crossing New Horizons are released. Although the last massive content drop of patch 2.0 brought a ton of original content back into the game, the studio unfurled great new features.

However, the community is still looking back at the older titles and original games that harbored more content. Content creator and YouTuber, Mayor Mori looked back upon one such event in ‘Bright Nights’ that offered interesting gameplay.

Bright Nights needs to return in Animal Crossing New Horizons

The festival lights and shiny decorations once existed in the legacy title of Animal Crossing. The event lasted for a week, offering a great chance for players and villagers to decorate their houses. Being the owner of the island, you are granted the role of judge to cast your vote in figuring out the best-looking house. This is a key responsibility that is divided equally among the villagers, and everyone will get a chance to cast their vote.

Tortimer would oversee the proceedings of the entire event, allowing every villager to cast their vote. The event would go on for a week, taking every single vote in, and on Sunday, Tortimer would announce the winner. This used to serve as an annual event taking place in the second week of February, starting from Monday.

The winner would get a chance to become the bright star of the event and hand out compliments to anyone who approaches them. On the flip side, losing villagers won’t be so hospital and would not shy away from showcasing their discontent. No one likes to lose and especially in this competitive ‘Bright Nights’ event.
