Metroid Prime is a series of first-person Metroidvanias that Retro games used to make for Nintendo. These games started life on GameCube and the last one, Metroid Prime 3, was seen on the Nintendo Wii. When Nintendo Wii U was launched, fans kept on expecting Nintendo to launch a collection of these games on that console. That never happened, to their dismay.

But when Switch was launched, rumors started flying of this trilogy coming to this console. The biggest reason for this rumor was that Nintendo had announced Metroid Prime 4 for Switch too.

And it eventually happened. The first game made it to Switch recently, and it was an instant success. So much so that Nintendo is now fast-forwarding the launch of the remaining two games on Switch too.

The biggest reason for this remaster’s success is that this game is made from the ground up. Textures, models, everything has been rebuilt in HD, and this effort really makes this game shine.

And now it appears Nintendo wants even more people to play this game, hence they have released a new trailer explaining the most prominent gameplay mechanics.

This trailer shows off the planet where protagonist Samus Aran lands her ship. It also shows off various biomes that players can explore in it. Then we are shown a bunch of things Samus’ helmet can do; scanning things, and showing her the environment in heat-vision or X-ray.
