Recently, a very interesting revelation was made by some players who were exploring the world of Armored Core 6. They found a very interesting add-on weapon that no one had ever expected to see in a game about mech combat. And it was none other than the Moonlight Greatsword!

The Moonlight Greatsword is a weapon that has pretty much become synonymous with Souls games. From Demon Souls to their most recent title, Elden Ring, Moonlight Greatsword has made an appearance.

In almost all of those games, including Bloodborne, players have even found a way to get their hands on that sword. A very beautiful sword, glimmering in blue, as if moonlight is permanently locked in that flawless blade.

Keeping this in mind, some players must have started looking for it in Armored Core 6 too, and to everyone’s surprise, they found it too. But it was found in an area that is even harder for most seasoned players of this game.

Hence, we decided to create a small guide on how our readers can get their hands on it!

How to unlock the Moonlight Greatsword in Armored Core 6

This latest FromSoftware title is vastly different from their previous games. For one, this is not a fantasy title in any way, nor is it a Souslike, even though it’s pretty hard too. It not being open-ended means the levels are somewhat straightforward and not much confusing. This also means it would be somewhat easier for fans to get their hands on Moonlight Sword in this game.

To do so, they first have to reach the seventh mission of chapter 4, which is named “Reach the Coral Convergence. During this mission, players would eventually find themselves face-to-face with rival ACs G3 Wu Huahai and V.VI Maeterlinck.

After defeating them, players would head to the destroyed suspension bridge. Upon reaching that bridge, an autonomous grinder wheel would attack them. These are pretty tough enemies, and eventually, players would see four of them protecting a chest.

Now they have two ways to get to the chest. One is to defeat these very hard-to-beat enemies. Another is to simply grab the loot from the chest and run away. The sword is in that chest, but players have to wait before actually using it. Before moving on with their prize, they have to defeat the main boss of this level, Ibis Series CEL 240, too.

After following all these steps as mentioned above, players would find themselves to be the proud owners of the IA-C01W2: Moonlight light wave blade.
