The Last of Us game was followed by Part 2. The sequel told the story of the game’s protagonist on a quest for revenge. She is looking for some people who have wronged her and her father figure Joel.

Then at one point Joel and Ellie are shown having a conversation, they start talking about careers and he tells her that he wanted to be a singer. He also tells her that once all this Firefly thing is done with, he would love to settle down on a farm with sheep.

These things play out pretty nicely in the sequel. Ellie has a guitar, Joel taught her to play and sing, and there’s even a farmhouse. And finally, let us not forget that bow the native American couple owned. Make no mistake, it was a very subtle foreshadowing.
