We expect Final Fantasy XVI to create waves of excitement among fans this June. The popular franchise is coming back with a bang and the new game is based on the backdrop of Valisthea, a torn world, split between two continents: Ash and Storm.

Though the game was overshadowed a little by some other popular titles, FFXVI rose to the top of the ladder thanks to an impressive move that was made by PlayStation. That is, the PlayStation State of Play introduced what the new Final Fantasy game encompasses. They released the first 25 minutes of the gameplay to the public, piquing the interest of the fans.

From the looks of it, this stunt has fruited in favor of Final Fantasy XVI and PlayStation. Currently, the Final Fantasy XVI Deluxe edition tops the Amazon trending charts priced at $100. More interestingly, Final Fantasy holds two positions in the Top 5 of the list (The standard edition stands at the fourth position with a $70 price tag).

Final Fantasy XVI has surpassed the best-selling records of popular titles like Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, Resident Evil 4 Remake, NBA 2K23, and Dead Space Remake.

Though many gamers were against PlayStation’s decision to introduce quite a few spoilers through the State of Play, it eventually became fruitful in regard to sales.
