Ever since the launch of the PlayStation 5, there have been a bunch of games that have been launched specially for this system. Many of these games are very aesthetic, but most of them were cross-gen, so people felt much of this console’s potential was yet to be realized.
Amidst all these speculations, fans have kept wondering if there will be first-party games that show what this console is actually capable of. Now, a couple of games are actually about to launch that might take full advantage of its powers.

Sony finally gave fans the first look at the visuals of Spider-Man 2, and as expected from Insomniac, the game looks pretty much insane. Its visuals, paired with its smooth action, really make it stand out. While there have been people who failed to see much improvement between that game and Miles Morales. The subtle additions are what make Spider-Man 2 a game worth looking out for.
On the other hand, Final Fantasy XVI is an Unreal Engine title that is blowing people away with its visuals. Fans cannot get over the fact that this game now looks better than Square Enix’s CGI videos. Those mammoth enemies, those complex particle effects—everything just screams how powerful PlayStation 5 is.
But there is some doubt that remains in the minds of PlayStation fans. Is it still too soon to consider these games the best-looking PS5 games? Have developers uncovered the complete potential of this console and learned how to take advantage of it?
There is no clear answer to this question, as no one knows how far someone can take a console. When the PlayStation 3 was Sony’s primary console, everyone thought games like God of War 3 and The Last of Us were the peaks of visuals on it. Then Grand Theft Auto V launched and proved everyone wrong. A similar thing happened during the era of the PlayStation 4 when Red Dead Redemption 2 launched.
