Nintendo users are not at all pleased with Switch’s e-shop. Despite Nintendo’s much-awaited next-gen console Switch‘s release in the next year, this company needs to work a lot on its digital store. Now that Switch turned six years old in 2023, fans think its slow digital store is definitely unacceptable. 

After the immense success of Super Mario Bros. Movie, people understood Nintendo’s global fanbase. Now with Switch 2’s confirmed announcement, fans are equally excited about this console device like any other Xbox or PS releases. While Switch 2 is the next big thing in the industry, fans are concerned over Switch’s lagging digital store, completely taking out the pleasure of gamers. 

Fans think Switch e-stores as the device’s worst part

A loyal Nintendo fan since the NES era shared how his Friday night gaming venture turned into a complete nightmare after he tried to visit Switch’s e-store. He found that the digital store has glitches and it is extremely slow to load things-“I’m a little salty so I’ll look around the Eshop just to see what’s around. OH, ITS STILL SLOW AS HELL, BUGGY, TAKES A MILLION YEARS TO LOAD ANYTHING, AND HAS THE PERSONALITY OF A ROCK IN THE SIDEWALK.”

This Nintendo fan further compared Switch’s e-store with the PS4 store. These companies seemed light-years behind the average benchmark set by their predecessors, Wii and Wii U-“Hell, it A LOT WORSE that the Wii and Wii U. Even the 3DS store, while just as slow, had SO MUCH more.” While fans are currently pissed over Nintendo’s constant ignorance to upgrade Switch’s digital store, Super Switch’s rumors are surely helping them to keep the faith.

The anticipation among fans about a “Super Switch” or the next-gen Nintendo console already made a lot of noise among fans. From an OLED display to 4K visual output, Switch 2/ Super Switch ignited a lot of anticipation among fans. Additionally, players are hoping for a great performance boost in this upcoming next-gen console.

Crazy right? Some leaks also dive fans toward the console having a built-in camera too. Now that FTC vs. Microsoft trial documents reveal Switch 2’s confirmed development, fans hope for a better electronic store from Nintendo.

The Nintendo community continued with frustration with Switch’s slow and glitchy store. Joy-Con drift is another part of the problem. While Nintendo enthusiasts remain devoted, they want a modern, efficient digital storefront. Now fans hope that, in the not-so-distant future, the refrain of “old man yells at cloud” will yield progress.
