Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is a mecha action game like no other. FromSoftware has spent years perfecting this formula. Though they spent years developing games like Dark Souls and such, they gave this particular series a long break.
Consequentially, not many are aware of this game series in detail. They know it’s a series about a bunch of robots and nothing more. And after seeing the gameplay recently, some might know how those robots or mechs work, but not in much detail. For fans and newcomers wondering what else this series might have in store for them, the ESRB might have the answer—that too in detail!
Recently, the ESRB posted the rating that this game got along with a long description of what it had in store for its buyers, and it read something like this: “This is a third-person shooter in which players assume the role of a mercenary carrying out military-style missions. Players pilot mechanized battle suits (i.e., mechs), using machine guns, rocket launchers, missiles, and melee-style attacks to destroy enemies (e.g., other mechs, tanks, helicopters). Battles are often fast-paced, accompanied by realistic gunfire and large explosions—damaged battle suits often burst into fiery wreckage/scattered debris.
“The game contains references to a fictional drug in the dialogue/text (e.g., “The Dosers are locked in a power struggle over the Coral drug trade”; “No one’s getting high off that”; “You gotta take Rubicon’s blessings raw…Hits your brain with a pop and a sizzle.”). The word “sh*t” appears in the game.”
