Esports Awards recently wrapped up, and we got to see a lot of nominees win numerous awards. The fans were eager to see if their favorite streamers or pro gamers win the awards they deserved.

Amongst all the categories, two are Esports PC Player of the Year and Esports Controller Player of the Year. Winners of both these categories were announced at the Esports Awards to much fanfare! Let us take a look at the winners.

s1mple wins the award for PC player of the year

The popular first-person shooter player and streamer has been part of the “world’s leading esports club” Natus Vincere for a while now. And he has proven his ability as an able pro gamer several times during several events.

His numerous fans were overjoyed to know that he finally won the Esports Award in the PC player of the year category.

Aside from his usual fan group, s1mple has also found fanfare amongst his fellow pro players. It was evident recently when popular Valorant streamer and pro gamer Shroud praised s1mple by saying that “I’ll never be as passionate as s1mple”.

FormaL wins the Esports Controller Player of the Year

FormaL, the popular Call of Duty player, made it past all the other nominees to win the award for the Esports Player of the Year award. He is currently a part of the Esports team Optic. He is also a Call of Duty World Champion, Halo World Champion and the X Games Gold Medalist. He has also won around 25 Major Esports tournaments.

Fans of FormaL took to social media to congratulate and appreciate the success of their favorite console Esport gamer.

Of course, these awards are also a result of fans voting for their favorite teams and players just so they can win these awards. And so, FormaL also took to Twitter to thank his fans for all the votes that won him this award.

Esports Awards 2022 brought with them numerous surprises and some not-so-surprising moments. And a lot of exciting moments.
