Epic Games x Death Stranding
This season, Epic Games brought many titles for free to its customers. Among them was, ‘Death Stranding’. The popular game came as a surprise to the community on the day of Christmas.
Death Stranding is a 2019 action game. Though only the PlayStation 4 version came that year. The windows version was brought only in 2020. Moreover, the game has a director’s cut. The Hideo Kojima cut was released in 2021 to PlayStation 5 and in 2022 to windows.
The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world and the players can play as Sam Porter Bridges. This title received top-notch acclamation for its visuals and detailing but faced a bit of criticism for the storyline and gameplay for not living up to its visual aesthetics.
The version that is available right now is a base version. You can hop over to the Epic Games store and login in to claim this title for free.
As soon as the game dropped on the Epic Games store, there were reports of the store crashing and many people not being able to access the purchase.
Many people reportedly were able to get their hands on the Director’s Cut. After the store got back from the errors, the available version was only the base one.
Fans were disappointed about the free version
Many were hyped to get their hands on Death Stranding. But, the mishaps and errors that the Epic Games store showed made many upset. Especially the ones who didn’t get a chance to get their hands on the director’s cut. Which was supposedly there in the store for a brief amount of time
Meh I’m good knowing they screwed us over by originally offering the directors cut pic.twitter.com/I0BNc87WFv

I got the email death stranding was added to my account, but when I go to epic game launcher or website, it still shows to purchase free. When I try to purchase, it just shows an error saying I already own the game or it is still processing, but it doesn't show in library.
