“Engage this” – The Last of Us Fans Call For A New Perspective of VR-Version as First-Person Mod Goes Viral

Naughty Dog released a remake of The Last of Us Part I for PlayStation 5 in 2022. The PC fans had to wait till March 2023 to play this remake. While they had to wait a while, they were hoping for it to be worth it. However, PC fans had never been so disappointed. The game had so many bugs that it was unbearable to play. And naturally, this led to a poor reception from the fans.

Naughty Dog has been trying to fix these issues ever since with patches for PC. While there have been some improvements, it is yet not up to the ‘enjoyable’ condition. In an attempt to do what Naughty Dog could not, video game modders have taken it upon themselves to bring new stuff to fans.

Modder gives The Last of Us a revamp the fans deserved and more

Modder @VoyagersRevenge has released a mod for The Naughty Dog title recently. Sharing the gameplay footage on Twitter, he changed the perspective of playing the game. Naughty Dog originally released the game in third-person mode, but the modders have released a first-person mode of the game. And it goes without saying it has become a hit among PC fans. While console players will not be able to experience this mod, the first-person gameplay of this mod on PC has given this survival horror game an upgrade.

Unfortunately, there is no word on when this mod will be released or what improvements it will bring to the game. Maybe modders are taking some time to perfect the code for animations in first-person. But based on the gameplay footage, it seems rather great, as the first-person viewpoint matches nicely with the character motions.

The fans have started demanding VoyagersRevenge create a VR version of this game. While some are asking if will he be able to fix the performance issues of The Naughty Dog title, jokingly.

The remake has been facing a lot of issues since its release

Since the PC release, fans have been complaining about its issues. The game debuted with an extensive list of technical faults that left it nearly unplayable. Furthermore, fans started giving the remake poor reviews and demanded Naughty Dog fixes.

Since then Naughty Dog has released patches on PC. These patches tackled the major issues, but fans still keep finding bugs in the software here and there.
