In the most recent viral tweet, a user gave his interesting take on Bethesda’s open-world RPG after allegedly finishing the game. A very rare set of reviews seems to bother the gaming community. But when a credible source like David Jaffe shares their take on a much-awaited release, you just cannot ignore it. For context, David Jaffe is among the highly acclaimed gaming designers. He has been the genius behind creations like the God of War series and Twisted Metal. Hence, a Starfield review by the genius developer has sparked curiosity.

The latter tweeted, “FINALLY finished STARFIELD. It has moments of genius for sure but it doesn’t seem like it will hold up like other classics. Ending was also WTF?!? Which I kinda get given the overall theme but still, it’s also an entertainment product so…I dunno. Need to process.”

According to Jaffe, Starfield shines, but not throughout the course of its run. It would have its moments of genius. This comes as a strong contradiction to earlier claims about the game being a masterpiece all along its narrative. Adding to that the creator specifically addressed the ending of the game. There have been constant theories and speculations around the player-driven narrative of the open world. Bethesda had emphasized Starfield as a decision-influenced storyline.

He asked for some more time to ‘process the ending.’ Whether this works in favor of the game or against it, we would have to wait until Jeffe’s time out.
