Bethesda’s next big-budget masterpiece Starfield is something that pretty much every gamer out there is waiting for. It seems to have everything that they had expected it to be. It’s massive and has widely improved combat, and best of all, it has highly customizable spaceships.
Aside from numerous gameplay features that are new or improved upon the game’s direct competitors, Bethesda has added something to this game that no one could have even guessed.
Oblivion’s Adoring fan is coming back to Starfield along with his original voice actor!

Adoring fan was one of Oblivion’s most interesting aspects. That game broke bounds in terms of exploration in Western role-playing games, and it was so good that it was addictive to an extent. But these games are made around a cast of characters that players love interacting with.
Who does not remember Skyrim’s various guards who told players that they were once adventurers like them? Heck, even people who never played that game are aware of this popular line. Then there is Dogmeat from Fallout games.
But one of the most in-depth side characters that Bethesda has given its fans to this day has to be Oblivion’s adoring fan. The guy starts following the player’s character the moment the game starts. Wherever they go, he follows; whomever they are talking to, he is there to tell them he is their biggest fan.
It happens to such an extent that players start getting annoyed by him, and then they start taking some really dangerous steps to fend him off. The best way to take him to a high mountain peak and “get rid of him”. Recently it was confirmed that the voice actor of the original adoring fan Craig Sechler will be returning too.

And that experience is why people were surprised when this adoring fan was introduced to be part of Starfield. The best part is that this time around, he would be using the real name of the player, as Bethesda has implemented the same tech they used for Codsworth in Fallout 4!

Now, it would be interesting to see how players would choose to get rid of him.
