Elden Ring is a tough game, without a doubt, and since its release, it has kept a lot of players in confusion. Not due to any gameplay-related issues, but because of how much difficult it gets to finish, eventually.
While the majority of its players are still not able to end it even after hundreds of hours, it seems like they are missing a basic solution to the problem. Because Elden Ring may only take no more than 30 hours to complete its campaign, according to its producer himself.

Elden Ring is 30 hours long if players take the “main route”, according to Yasuhiro Kitao
In case you missed it, there was an Elden Ring-based session conducted during the Taipei Games Show in January. In that session, producer Yasuhiro Kitao talked to the host Misuzu Araki about various aspects of the game ahead of its February launch.
When Araki asked him the question over the duration of Elden Ring, Kitao said that it will only be 30 hours. And that’s if the players choose the main route.

“This will differ significantly by player but in terms of targets set during development, the idea is that the main route should be able to be completed within around 30 hours,” he said.
So there you have it. Elden Ring’s producer had already confirmed it, almost two months ago, that it doesn’t take too long to finish the campaign. However, many of the players are having no clue whatsoever, regarding the main route itself. They don’t know how to pursue it anyhow, according to their reactions on social media.
As per the players on Twitter, they haven’t been able to find such a main route so far. “They must be trolling”, wrote one user.
They must be trolling.
I feel like that's only feasible if you knew how to skip to Radahn and go immediately to the lift of Dectus afterwards. To beat Elden Ring in approx 30 hours would require planning and preparation that none of us are capable of this soon after launch. pic.twitter.com/XaHmfAm414

I'm spending 30 hours only to explore Limgrave and finally defeat Godrick pic.twitter.com/52q5M7LKT4

Maybe on a second or third playthrough. Anybody actually experiencing the game and not rushing should get 80-100 hours on their first go around. I have 260+ hours in Dark Souls 3, and it took me 107 hours to beat Elden Ring first playthrough.
