Endless number of gaming titles release every year. Out of them, some end up gaining phenomenal attention from critics as well as the fans. This year also saw a lot of new games making their debuts. However, few of them made a lasting impression on the players, such as the current Game Awards nominees like God of War Ragnarok and Elden Ring, among others.

But when it comes to which title actually gained a larger attention from the fans since its launch, it looks like FromSoftware’s Elden Ring seems to have an upper hand over its competitors, especially God of War Ragnarok. Going by a recent report, the fantasy RPG has been the most viewed video game of 2022, while dominating the rivals by a huge margin.
Elden Ring is the most watched Twitch title while edging out God of War Ragnarok, Stray, and Horizon Forbidden West
As reported by StreamsCharts, a platform that keeps track of all the crucial analytics from Twitch, the FromSoftware blockbuster has overshadowed all the other titles of 2022 on the streaming platform. With a record figure of over 172 million watched hours, Elden Ring sits at the top of the list.
On the other hand, the recently released PlayStation 5 juggernaut from Santa Monica Studio, God of War Ragnarok is the second most-watched game of 2022.
One major reason for the critically acclaimed title failing to claim the first position is the fact that it launched towards the end of this year. In case anyone missed it, Ragnarok made its debut less than a month ago, on November 9. However, it still succeeded in snatching the second spot, with a viewership of close to 36 million watched hours.

Apart from these two fan-favorite nominees of The Game Awards, to be held next week, indie smash hit Stray took the third position on the list. The cute, adorable, and popular title from Annapurna Interactive managed to amass a viewership of nearly 14 million hours on Twitch. Horizon Forbidden West, surprisingly, stayed behind Stray, attracting a figure close to 10 million watched hours.
