FromSoftware’s Elden Ring becomes the biggest launch in the UK since Call of Duty Vanguard, as per the latest data. Also, it is the best non-CoD or FIFA release to perform impressively in sales since 2018’s Red Dead Redemption 2.

It seems like the most anticipated and best-rated game of 2022, Elden Ring has proved why it was worth all the hype and long wait. It all appears to have paid off very well in the end.

Ever since it was first announced, the fantasy open-world RPG has been the subject of various discussions and speculations. It constantly remained in trends despite not getting major news for a temporary period until last year. And now that it’s here, players are extremely happy.

All things considered, it was quite expected to witness a record feat in sales for the Elden Ring.

According to the recent report by GamesIndustry.biz, Elden Ring even outperformed PlayStation exclusive Horizon Forbidden West in the UK. Its sales have been 2.5 times more than the sequel to 2017’s Horizon Zero Dawn.

GamesIndustry.biz mentioned all the details, from GSD, regarding the Bandai Namco offering that has taken the world by storm since its late February debut.

Elden Ring is the first big non-Call of Duty and FIFA title, in the UK, since 2018’s Red Dead Redemption 2 from Rockstar Games. Its first week’s sales figures are also higher than Cyberpunk 2077 and Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

The digital sales for Elden Ring contributed around 68 percent to its overall sales. Interestingly, Xbox and the PC platforms accounted for 85 percent and 73 percent of its digitally sold copies respectively. The PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 sales were just slightly above 50 percent.

Following the massive debut and record streak of the Souls-like title, Horizon Forbidden West slipped to the second spot in the UK sales chart. Below is the full list of Top 10 best-selling UK games (after including both physical and digital sales) for the week ending February 26:
