Easter eggs in the video gaming community have religiously been the cherry on the cake. Whether it be The Last of Us Easter Eggs or Call of Duty ones, they never fail to impress the fanbase with an extra surprise. Similarly, the freshly arrived Star Wars: Jedi Survivor seems to have taken an interesting inspiration from a 29-year-old Nintendo title.

The freshly arrived EA title is currently going through a slump in the community. While the console version has been marvelous for the fans, its PC port has failed to fill in the shoes. Also, popular Twitch streamer MoistCr1tiKaL presented dislike toward the patch update post-release.

Nevertheless, keeping the reviews aside as EA works to fix the discrepancies, the community huddled to take note of an interesting Easter Egg. On top of that, it comes from a foreign land, a land much away from the Star Wars universe.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor unfolds an Easter Egg from a 29-year-old Nintendo title

Jedi Survivor has become a game that deals with the galactic chronicles of Cal Kestis. Interestingly, the Easter Egg this article deals with is nothing less than a galactic experience itself. To unveil it, the Twitter account of GameSpot presented a visual aid to highlight the crossover.

In the Tweet above, one can see Kestis impersonating the jumping course from Super Metroid. Moreover, to evade any confusion, industry pundit Jeff Grubb presented a brief explanation after spotting this Easter Egg. He pressed the idea that the theme of three aliens helping the player to jump on the walls is the theme of the Easter Egg.

With the confusion evaded, the magic of the finding got even more beautiful and showed how eagle-eyed the industry pundit is. To the spotted fact, a fan responded, “I did notice! I actually said it out loud haha.” Another fan said, “I reached this part and it never dawned on me that it was a reference but you’re right definitely the same..” Moreover, a fan reminisced, “I spent way too long in this hole when I first played Super Metroid.”

In all spirits, the Super Metroid Easter Egg lifted the spirits and gave the fans another reason to enjoy the freshly arrived game. Therefore, it is hoped EA addresses the uprising issues and further enhances the gaming experience.
