Rumors about a Black Panther game have been rampant for quite some time. Fans may finally have something concrete to look forward to as EA has announced some stunning news. Through a new collaborative venture between industry veterans, players will soon be able to take up the role of Wakanda’s larger-than-life superhero and shine their claws.
Marvel’s Black Panther is something that the community is convinced will make a top-notch video game, and fans can finally get to live in the landscapes of Wakanda in a few years’ time. Electronic Arts has made public its plans for bringing together developers from teams that created some of the best names in the industry including Call of Duty, God of War, and Halo for this game.
Super-experienced team to set up a new studio with EA for Black Panther game

Marvel is celebrating the 57th debut of Black Panther and EA has chosen the right time to drop some exciting news. The developers also announced its new Seattle-based studio, Cliffhanger Games, which is set to have Kevin Stephens in the driving seat. Stephens has previously worked at Monolith Productions on Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor.
However, the single-player Black Panther game doesn’t have an official release date just yet. Despite this, EA has confirmed that they will also work with Marvel Games to ensure all aspects of Black Panther are reproduced as accurately as possible so Wakanda may come alive on players’ screens.
Details about the upcoming Wakandan project
The plot or major aspects of the game haven’t been disclosed by EA just yet. It is rumored that even though Marvel will have a lot to say about the upcoming title, EA will be strongly placed in the driver’s seat in regard to the storyline of the game.

“We’re dedicated to delivering fans a definitive and authentic Black Panther experience, giving them more agency and control over their narrative than they have ever experienced in a story-driven video game“, Stephens stated.

He also mentioned that the newly formed studio is focused on giving players an incredible experience where fans can explore the mythical lands of Wakanda as much as possible.
