After the massive E3 controversy, it looks like PlayStation, Xbox, Bethesda, and a few more big-time publishers will host special events.

The gaming community went into shackles last week after the cancellation of one of the biggest events. E3 2023 shut its doors for fans this year, with big-time publishers calling quits. It was revealed that they did not show enough interest in this showcase, leading to the cancellation of one of the prestigious events. So, fans remained baffled as they could not predict the reason behind this.

But it looked like the industry giants had different plans in mind as they quickly turned things around in the next two days. Each publisher announced a special event around the same time as E3, with the idea of hosting a stand-alone event.

Will PlayStation, Xbox, Bethesda, and others showcase exclusive footage during their independent events?

With E3 canceled, Geoff Keighley’s Summer Games Fest took the spotlight as he announced the event for June 8. However, industry giants walked in to take over the headlines, announcing independent events around the same time.

As revealed by popular gaming journalist Jeff Grubb, “E3 is dead, and I killed it. And now I’m going to honor it by holding it up Weekend At BerniE3’s-style alongside Jeff Grubb’s #summergamemess Thank you to all of the Jeff Grubb’s Summer Game Mess partners for participating whether you want to or not. LET’S F*CKING GOOOOO.” And with that, he also revealed the possible dates for their events.

For now, it looks like PlayStation will steal the show before Summer Games Fest, hosting their main event. Followed by that, Xbox and Bethesda will take up June 11, along with a Starfield Direct. Last but not least, Ubisoft will sign off the rally on June 12.
