Retired professional player and streamer, Shroud has been one biggest voices who backed Valorant. The 26-year-old stated time and time again that this game could become the biggest esport market. Riot Games has been actively working on its FPS title with routine updates and content drop. The studio added a rather interesting agent in KAY/O, who serves as an anti-duelist.
The addition of this agent has drastically changed the game, as he can disable, flash and nuke enemies with his kit. Even Shroud thinks KAY/O has rendered Duelists quite futile because of his outstanding utilities.

” You don’t need son many duelists, duelists are kind of a waste of space, right? You can replace duelists with a KAY/O and that’ll fit so much better. You’ll get so much info out of it, you will get more of an execu (execution) out of it, and you’ll get more flashes out of it. So you won’t lose anything. Duelists usually have flashes right, KAY/O has flashes too. I think KAY/O is a great character, easily replaceable for duelists for sure. He has got his knife for info, he has got his nade to break killjoy ults and whatever the f**k he wants to break or just flush out locations. He has got an ult that silences everybody, and it makes execu super easy and he has got two flashes, that’s sick.”
The famous streamer showered words of praise for the latest agent, who originally failed to impress the streamer. It seems like his amazing kit and insane capabilities have won him over.

Is Shroud right about KAY/O?
KAY/O’s addition in the game was one of the groundbreaking things that ever happened to Valorant. This single agent changed the duelist meta completely with his marvelous kit and it has also made them seem weakened. However, Duelist agents like Jett, Reyna, and Raze will continue to find their place within the competitive play.

No other agent can close the gap between enemies so effortlessly, which enables aggressive players to catch enemies off guard and take over bombsites, quickly. Duelist agents may not roam and attack freely, but they certainly won’t get kicked out of the meta.
