Character customization is probably one of the most fun things players can do in a game.  During the showcasing of Starfield, Bethesda focused on the intricate character design features they have added to the game. Since then, players have spent hours on trying to make a character of their dreams, but only to meet unsatisfactory results.

The game offers a bunch of options to customize the character’s biometric ID, body, face, background, and traits. Each tool has multiple parameters to tweak their character according to the player’s choice. After spending many hours in character customization, players have started to come forward with their complaints regarding the system. One player went on to Reddit and shared how their character looked during the creation screen and compared it to how it turned out in the game, and the community was left in splits.

The picture shows how the character in the customization mode does not look anything like it does in the game. Many features like the eyes and even the face shape looked completely different.  The disappointed player’s post was received with empathy by the other gamers and it caught the attention of other players who are experiencing the same issue. Many players started to comment and mention that they were experiencing the same.

Although the character in the picture is a female character without any facial hair, some users were most fixated with how patchy the beards look in the customization mode compared to in the game.

Patchy Beards are driving players crazy

The comments section of the post started exploding as the community mostly felt the same way. Players are disappointed in how their characters are turning out after spending hours of work on them. One common thing that bothered most users was that beards ended up looking patchy during gameplay.
