In the latest episode of Impaulsive, Logan Paul and his close confidant, KSI, sat together to talk about the crazy ride they have been through, thanks to their joint venture, PRIME Hydration. In their conversation, they talked about the YouTube “Lunatic” JiDion, who has made some wild prank videos to promote the drink. 

Logan and KSI talked about this certain influencer who has been able to anger one of the biggest soft drink manufacturers in the world. He was so convincing and influential that the company made sure the video was no longer available on the internet.

Logan Paul Praises JiDion’s guts

In a now-removed video, the YouTube prankster had gone to a Gatorade flagship store to make the employees promote Logan and KSI’s Prime hydration drink. And the most hilarious part of this stunt was that the employees didn’t have any idea that they were promoting the number one competitor of their brand.

But once Gatorade got the hint about what was going on, they took the video down with strict DMCA notice. “That dude has the biggest b*lls on YouTube. I think I have seen, ever! His conviction on himself to not break character is unbelievable,” said Logan Paul. He added that it is very refreshing to see someone like him on YouTube these days.

“It’s all confidence,” added KSI. However, by the end of the conversation, Logan made it clear that JiDion was in no way sponsored by Prime for his stunt. They didn’t make him do that. According to Logan, he is just a “lunatic” who does these wild stunts on his own. There was no “encouragement” from him or the team of Prime. 

Why does Logan feel JiDion is a fresh sight on YouTube? 

“YouTube needs creators like JiDion. They feel fresh, they feel special,” said Logan. YouTube used to be a wild west of content. In the initial days of the platform, creators were much more unhinged than they are in the present. The guidelines and rule set being very lax back then enabled creators to be much freer and more experimental with their videos. That is why the prank genre of content was booming back then.

But as the platform became more and more “advertisers friendly”, edgy content such as these pranks was almost wiped from the website. That is why creators like JiDion are a rare sight in the modern YouTube era. Although his videos get demonetized very frequently, JiDion keeps on dishing out wilder pranks on his channel.
