Doom Eternal is the fifth installment in the Doom series. Developer id Software and publisher Bethesda released the game in March 2020. This game witnessed the most successful opening weekend in the franchise’s history. According to Bethesda, Doom Eternal earned twice as much as the Doom 2016 release did within the first weekend. The Doom franchise’s popularity, coupled with the demand for entertainment from people confined indoors during the pandemic, gave rise to huge numbers in revenue. After almost a year of its release now, former id Software employee revealed a statement about the game’s revenue till date and the numbers are ground-breaking. VG247 originally reported the update in an article they published on 28 February 2021.
