Nintendo Switch is known as the home of ports by many of its fans. The reason is the fact that developers often release ports of older games such as Doom, Skyrim, etc. for it. But it often gets its own versions of games pretty close to the original launch, such as the Hogwarts Legacy’s Nintendo Switch port, which will be launching soon enough.
But one game that has been anticipated for a long time might end up missing this hybrid console altogether. Even though a port was announced for it a long time ago!

Firaxis Games is known for making exciting real-time strategy experiences. They are best known for their XCOM series of sci-fi strategy titles. Those games are so good that they were extremely successful and are now available on pretty much every platform out there, including iOS and Android.
The other franchise that they worked so hard on is the Civilization series. This historical real-time strategy series has made fans out of even the most casual strategy gamers.
Firaxis decided to go a step further with these games and decided to partner with Marvel in order to develop a game featuring a number of their superheroes. This game was eventually named Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and as the name suggests, this game featured a selection of Marvel’s supernatural superheroes such as Blade, Ghost Rider, etc.
The game was released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox series consoles in December 2022. And it was further announced that this game’s Nintendo Switch and last-gen versions would arrive at a later date. Recently, the last-gen version of this game was finally given a release date of May 11. The Nintendo Switch version, though, was nowhere to be seen. A post on the game’s website suggests that a Switch version is no longer planned.
