If you are looking to buy a Nintendo Switch, now is the right time to do so. The company has slashed the price of the Switch in European and UK regions just before the launch of the new Nintendo OLED model.
However, Nintendo is in no mood to replicate the treatment for buyers in the U.S., at least for the time being. The company has told Stephen Totilo that they have “no plans” of reducing the prices in the U.S.

Stephen Totilo, who is a gaming reporter at Axios, tweeted out the news stating that Nintendo has reported to the former that “there are no plans” for lowering the prices of the Switch for the U.S. region. You can check out his tweet below.
Nintendo tells me yesterday's Switch price drop was just for Europe (and the UK):
“The trade price adjustment is for the European region only. There are no plans to change the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price for any Nintendo Switch model in the U.S.”

The new prices for Nintendo Switch are as follows:
For Europe:
Previously, the Nintendo Switch was priced at €329.99, but after the company’s €30 discount, you can now get the Nintendo Switch at €299.99.
For the UK:
Those in the UK can now purchase the Nintendo Switch for £259.99, which is £20 from the earlier £279.99.

If you fall in any of the above-mentioned regions and were intending to get the Switch, now might be your golden chance. Head over to the official Nintendo store as other retailers like Amazon haven’t yet updated the price.
The newer Switch OLED model is slated to arrive on October 8 and will come with a brighter screen, ethernet port, to name a few. As for the pricing, the newer console will cost you €364.99 in Europe and £309.99 in the UK. While the price cut is almost insignificant, it might sway some potential buyers towards the older Switch rather than the upcoming one.
The OLED Switch boosts a bigger and sharper display with not-so-significant upgrades under the hood. What’s worth observing is the company’s approach for other regions, especially the U.S., as we all get closer to the launch of the OLED model.
