While on one hand, PlayStation has some of the most realistic games to boast about, and Gran Turismo 7 is one of them. With its ultra-realistic and highly detailed graphics, it is one of the best racing sims out there. On the contrary, Christian Dior is the leading fashion brand in the world. Then what might happen if the industry leaders come together to build a vintage car?
Dior collaborates with PlayStation to build a new car exterior
Gran Turismo 7 on the PlayStation is getting a new car exterior and driver’s costume, according to a recent tweet from Dior. Kim Jones, a renowned fashion designer, created a unique skin for the vintage, De Tomaso Mangusta.
Notably, each component of the skin had been separately designed by the fashion house. Even the driver’s outfit and accessories were carefully crafted.

The skins were designed with the 60s and 80s in mind. This idea was inspired by the design of the De Tomaso Mangusta, also famously called the “Goose“, itself. Additionally, the car is very popular among the GT fanbase because of its legendary status.

Reportedly, this is the first venture for Dior in the gaming universe. Hence, this might change the whole industry, as more and more fashion houses might collaborate together with other games to showcase their wardrobe collections.
I'm not going to pretend I understand fashion, but I'm pleased for this collaboration. The style and colours have a retro racing vibe to it and hope to see other cars given a make over.
