There are some fans who sometimes take their passion for gaming to the next level. And when there’s a mention of Nintendo, this passion can go beyond imagination. A similar craze was witnessed on the internet recently when a Nintendo enthusiast showcased their car with an interesting blend of Mario Kart Wii.
Nintendo player replaces car’s steering wheel with a Mario Kart Wii wheel
For those uninitiated, Mario Kart Wii is a decade-old title that was launched in 2008. It’s the sixth main entry in the racing series featuring the character of Mario. The game uses the Wii Remote’s motion-controls to offer the players a simulation of steering controls. To enable this function, the game was released with a Wii Wheel accessory to mimic a steering wheel of a car.
As reported by VG247, a Nintendo lover recently attracted a lot of attention on the internet due to a bizarre experiment they did with their car. Initially, this fan began by using a Wii Wheel in place of a steering wheel. Yes, that’s what Tyler Atkins did to see if the Mario Kart Wii accessory was good enough for a real-world experience or not.

Unfortunately, the experience didn’t turn out as expected for Tyler. However, instead of dropping the idea of turning their car into a Nintendo-style gaming console, this person kept adding more elements to the vehicle.

Tyler replaced the car’s gearstick with a Wii Nunchuck controller. Later on, he also replaced the floor mat with the Wii Fit yoga mat. What started as a fun activity featuring a Nintendo-themed makeover of the car eventually turned into a full-blown Wiiasta, as referred by Tyler himself. But he didn’t stop there.
Continuing with his passion even further, he then replaced the handbrake with a Wii baseball bat accessory. The icing on the cake was when he decided to remove the radio as well. Instead of that, he installed an actual Nintendo Wii. But as expected, it didn’t end up functioning at all, which was the obvious downside of experimenting so much.
